What will the next Toyota Supra look like? Here is my answer to that question.
My goal with this concept was to try and keep the DNA of the Supra mk4 but still create something new and fresh. I wanted it to be classy, but at the same time sporty. A possible creation in a not too far away future.
I might create some detail shots as well. Stay tuned!

Looks awesome, I would love to see some detail shots.
Thank you very much! Detail shots will arrive if I can find some good angles.
Very nice concept mate
I really love this design.
Let us hope the big boys from Toyota may so happen to stumble across this design.
The only one or 2 things that I would probably change to keep with the Supra style is maybe the 4 individual bulbs in the rear lights setup from the MKIV. They could be some fancy led design or somthing.
Also having the ‘middle brake light’ still up at the top of the back end, rather than joining them through the middle of the 2 main rear lights.
Thats just by 2 cents, sorry mate. Its not critisizm, just opinion.
Looks bloody fantastic all in all though. I look forward to maybe even seeing some Interior deigns too
I embrace all critique, good or bad! It is always difficult to please everyone with a concept of such a classic car. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that is actually a good thing!
I had my struggles with what to keep and not and in the end i opted for not keeping the taillights from the old car. The beautiful part about making your own designs is that you are totally free to do whatever you want
If you want a Toyota Supra get a supra … if you want a Nissan 370 Z, get one instead of rendering it and calling it a ‘possible new supra’ lol
There seam to be an overwhelming amount of people comparing this to both the nissan gt-r and 350/370z. I find this very interesting since the cars are very different if you compare them next to each other. Yes, both are sporty coupés, but the likeness ends there I think.
Very good design. I think you’re on the right track, but I think it needs more MK. IV essence, and less influence from the FT-86. The rear end screams FT-86 to me, especially the lights. What program did you use? I have so many ideas, I just need an program to bring them to life. I really do like the design though, as the body lines look similar to the Mk. IV. I can see why people might see some GT-R influence in there because the lines of the side windows are the same angle as the GT-R. That’s all I really see that has any sort of GT-R likeness though. Good work! I wish I could be as lucky to have such powerful programs to play with.
Keep it up!
Thanks for your reply and kind words! I use 3d studio max and render with vray.
Stunning concept. Homage and respect to the greats, but fresh and still retaining the 21st century Japanese design language it needs.
Beautiful job. Now to see if Toyota can produce a car quicker than it currently takes them, they, more than anybody else, seem to have the most ridiculously arduous gestation periods from concept to production.
Good luck Andreas
Toyota already made this car its the original white concept hybrid. Its just silver… People think you created it.
You should fix that.
Hi Andreas. If you’re interested, we could publish your best hires renders on our website.

Looks very fluidic…..which 3D program did you use for model and render?
Looks oky. Hopefully thats just a rough draft….like everyone else It looks to much like the 370z, especially in the front. Change up the whole front end, something newer, different. Rear end put back the MKIV rear circular lights, that one line rear lighting looks like the new Dodge Charger only slightly different. Other than that the design looks killer. Im thinking it should come in two different engine sizes. A 3.6 Inline 6 cylinder, Twin Turbo and a 5.1 V8, Twin Turbo. Haha my fantasy would be a 6.0 or more V10!!!! Butttt thatll probably never happen. Good work!
Looks awesome! Don’t listen to the people saying it looks a 370Z. I own a MKIV supra, and I can definitely see its DNA mixed with the FT86 and the LFA.
This would be an awesome godzilla slayer!!! If only Toyota quits hiding inside the turtle shell and shifts there gear a lil, this WILL work. Its good that they are making awesome fuel efficient / hybrid vehicles, but they need to step it up a lil bit more. Its good that they are bringing out the Scion FR-S / FT86, but eventually the new generation of those drivers are gonna want allot more power to match the handling, or more. Also, I hate to say this, the Lexus LFA brought no profits to Toyota’s sales since its release due to the developement time (over ten years!) and the ammount of money lost in making them (especially the engine, developed by yamaha). If Toyota where to make a comeback, let the Supra not be the only one to be in the ring, bring back the MR and the Celica back as well. Toyota is WAAYY overdue on an achievement like this. Nissan has there GTR, and now Acura is reviving the NSX…. Where are you Toyota? The technology is there, even to make it a hybrid if needed. We don’t mind a sports car to be labeled as a Lexus or a Scion, but make this one a Toyota and nothing else. We, the enthusiast want the magic back to where it needs to be, the roots where it all began. What I just wrote here, is not directed to anyone but Toyota and thats it, hoping that they heare\ not just my voice, but to those that are enthusiast like myself and also to future enthusiast that once they sit behind the wheel of this, they feel that rush of adrenaline that naturally comes with it. I can consider myself the voice of all out there that want this car back.
Andreas…. I highly suggest you send this directly to the CEO of Toyota, don’t hesitate to do so and don’t let anyone (even over an email) that is not the CEO tell you that they won’t do it. The reason I say this is because Toyota needs a designer, like yourself, to show them direction that they CAN do this and be successful in the process. If I was you, push this to the table and prove your point in a firm but positive view. If you do this, you have not just myself, but the fans all over the world of the Supra to back you up. If it works out, you got yourself one of the best jobs in the world when it comes to design and art combined.
if you want to do this and want the support from enthusiast like myself, let all of us know on our forums http://www.supraforums.com
this is the biggest global community forums for the Supra in the world… from the fans to the top venders, we are all there. just let us know when you are ready, and we will help you fight the fight. This is worth our time to help you get this across.
Thank you for the reply! It is great to get this kind of response and I will try to get Toyotas attention on this. Even though i think it is hard!
nothing is hard as long as you put your mind to it….. just don’t give up my friend, remember, you got the backing of an entire global community if you need it. Go get em!
Just brilliant smooth, minimalist, agressive much better than even Toyota could develop .
WOw very nice, realy nice shader. Which software package and renderer do you use for the visualisations?
Thank you! I use 3dsmax and vray.
